Aynsley Leonardis, a recent School of Visual Arts graduate, is a painter and multimedia artist with punk-rock sensibilities and a bad sense of humor. A lover of the lowbrow, you can find their artistic roots in comic books, music zines, and kid-art. Their experience as a young, queer, genderfluid person navigating the art world has only cemented their dedication to defiance.
Since 2018, Aynsley has been exhibiting work in both solo and group shows and selling work to collectors across the United States. Their notable commissions include work for Matthew Gray Gubler, Everyone Comics, and bands Ariel View and QTY. They currently live and work in Brooklyn.
